One can see from the above picture the considerable development that had already taken place here in Samseong-Dong, with more yet to come!
The COEX site would experience another makeover in time for the 2000 ASEM Summit,
which would include a newly built Convention & Exhibition Center, ASEM Tower, COEX Mall, and COEX InterContinental Hotel.
This has been the face of COEX from 2000 until today. Further additions are being
planned, however: Watch for a new Performing Arts Center and Fountain Park, as well as
more green spaces and places for the public to share in a community experience.
COEX is many things to many people: People come for entertainment, business, shopping,
conventions and exhibitions.
